Due to the cancellation of events at Hobart Speedway last night 14/2/15, please be advised the dates for the running of the following events.

Bombers State Title 2014/15 - Hobart 14/3/2015

Street Stock State Title 2014/15 - Latrobe 28/3/2015

All nominations received shall and will be honored for new dates, any further nominations must be advised to the State Secretary within 14 days, closing 1st March 2015.

Just prior to the running on the 2014/15 SSA Australian Super Sedan Title, on 30th &31st Jan 2015, at Latrobe Speedway, Kevin Purton, one of Tasmania's finest ever Super Sedan drivers announced that he will be closing the curtain on his Speedway career, at the conclusion of this event.

Kevin's racing resume in Super Sedans is quite remarkable, with two Australian Titles (2005 & 2006), two Tasmanian Titles (2005 & 2008) and three Grand Prix victories, (2005,2010,2011). And of course we cant forget Kevin's 1995 Tasmanian Title in the Tas Sedan division. We could not begin to count the many feature victories Kevin has amassed over his long & distinguished career at Latrobe, Carrick & Hobart.

The Tasmanian Saloon Car Federation executive and delegates, in conjunction with its member Zones, Clubs, Competitors and Officials, acknowledge the outstanding contribution Kevin has made to Saloon Car racing not only in Tasmania but throughout Australia as well. 

Congratulations Kevin on an fabulous career, we wish you well in your life after Speedway. Thank you, and very well driven. It has been a pleasure to watch you at work.

The Tasmanian Saloon Car Federation congratulates Hobart's Dwaine Sonners on winning his 1st Tasmanian Tassie 6 Title, at Latrobe Speedway, 16th Jan 2015.

In a closely fought race Dwaine beat Drew Manser (2nd) to the chequered flag by 1.64 seconds with Launceston's Luke Wilson coming home in 3rd place.

Congratulations to the place getters and to the Tassie 6 division on a great nights racing.

Nominations are now open for the Modified Production Sedans STATE TITLE to be contested at Carrick Speedway, Carrick on Saturday 21st March, 2015.
